Experiential Learning to improve Cognitive Abilities
The program is to engage the school going children, their parents and the schools with an aim of improving the learning dimensions. It is designed to relate few concepts of the school curriculum, life lessons and future readiness skills. The participants are given time-bound challenges to grow the plants from a seed to the harvest cycle in a container. The focus is on Navadhanya food grains this time. The continuous indulgence to achieve the results with nudges from the mentors elevate their ability solve problem on-hand. The outcome is a definite value to the participant's professional prospects ahead.
The learning begins with an eco-friendly container, growing media, and the seeds of Navadhanya - Wheat, Paddy, Pigeon Pea, Green Gram, Brown Gram, Cowpea, Black Sesame, Black Gram and Horse Gram. Twenty or more minutes of everyday activity at home, detailed investigation, research and writing the worksheets are the routine tasks, backed by bite-sized study contents delivered on their mobile device. The schools review and monitor this progress every week.
The priceless experience of doing it themselves while relating to what they learn in theory classes of the school curriculum creates eureka moment with every participant.
